Painting a fog light reflector?

So I want to turn my standard sc white fog lamps into yellow ones but with brand new white lenses already installed, $60 cost to buy yellow ones, and yellow Hella H3 bulbs costing about $60, I was wondering if anyone has every painted or applied film to convert clear reflectors into yellow ones?

Thanks, Graham

I have not paint the lense yellow but several people have painted the inside. They said it works great.
I did paint the the outter of the lense smoke. It works for less than a year (even with clear coat).

Graham. Pick up some Krylon Yellow Stained Glass paint, spray the inside of the lense itself and you'll be all set. Just don't spray it in your house or it will smell bad for a couple days, ask me how I know....

The paint will really cut down on the light emitted.

Take them to a stained glass shop and ask if they can help you.

A film would be nice but you have to find one that won't melt or burn from the heat in there....

Old threads on Early 911s forum could help you find the right lenses...

Check with your optician about a coating the lens like they do eyeglasses. Never done it with anything but eyeglasses. Just a side note. Last year I replaced one of my fog light lenses with window glass. (I'm in the middle of a big desert in the middle east. It works fine and looks okay. Oh they charged me less than 2 dollars for the glass cut to size.)
