thinking of going to a 3.2 Short Stroke. Questions
I have a nice running low mileage 3.0 with Mod S cams, 9.3:1 C.R., webers and some mild port work. It is pretty healthy and dynoed at 212 RWHP last time around.
I am thinking about putting some 98mm p/c and bumping the compression up to about 9.8:1 possibly going to 10.3:1. The heads are twin plugged already, I just need the ignition stuff. Is it feesible to do this and not split the case again? How much H.P. and torque should I hope for by bumping up to a 3.2 S.S. and adding 1/2 or 1 whole point of compression? I am guessing around 20 extra h.p. and hoping that the extra compression improves the grunt (torque) as well. T.I.A. |

250 hp no problem
what is the use of the car? and if more than 1 use, how much % of each -- that will determine how aggresive the camming should be. |
Randy,
I think I'll use the cams that I already have in my current engine. They are Elgin Mod S. In fact, I think I'll leave everything the same and just slip in the 98 mm p/c while at the same time bumping the compression up from the 9.3:1 to the twin plug range of things ...around 10:1 or so. I am curious how much h.p. this alone will add to the car. |
Have you done your 3.2 conversion yet? Thinking of doing the same. Dyno yet? Rough costs? Thanks!

last post was only one month ago. I'd be pretty quick if it were done already.
not sure when/if it will happen. |
