The spring is gone...

My stock 72 seats have lost their spring. They mash down completely when you sit in them, but otherwise have perfect stock covers etc.

Were they always like this? If not, are the spring sets available? If not, how are these fixed.

pull the seats out and see if you can reattach the springs to the seat frame. you may need to get new springs to rehang the "web", the mesh that supports the seat, held in place with the springs.
