Looking for possible employment/experience as a porsche mech.
I know that many of the members of this forum are owners of very highly respected Porsche repair shops. I am a second year mechanical engineer at the Cooper Union in NYC and I'm looking for a possible internship for the summer of 2006. (The Cooper Union is frequently ranked as one of the top five engineering schools in the US.) I dont know how many small shops would be open to this kind of an internship idea so I am basically trying to gauge interest. After graduation I would like to be able to work in the automotive field so I am trying to gain as much experience as I can. If any of you shop owners out there are interested please let me know (John Walker, Tyson Schmidt, Chuck Moreland, Don Ramsay, etc). I will gladly send a resume if anyone is interested.

Hey Man,
We do hire summer temps and I would be happy to review your resume. Email it to me. accdlr@aol.com But you would start out as a grunt! We call your position the FLOATER as you will float from job to job each day. Kinda just what ever we want you to do that day. Qualifications: That you will to do the best job you can on what ever your working on. Even if it cleaning the bathrooms. To work here you must be a true Porsche NUT. Thats a Biggie!I need help working on the ACC web site it's way behind. ![]() One thing though It's Damn HOT here in the South in the summer. As an M.E. myself I understand were your coming from. Good Luck!

Hi Don thanks alot for offering to consider my application. I just wrote up a resume for you, i will send it in the next few minutes, if you want any additional information please let me know. I will also send my college transcript in the next few weeks if you are at all interested in that, i should get an updated one in mid january. As far as being a porsche nut I think I will easily fit that bill, I might not have decades of experience but I would love to be able to work around porsches for the summer, even if it was just cleaning bathrooms
