Targa-ing on Christmas Eve

Beautiful sunny day in Denver, mid 50's. Cruising in my silver SC targa.

Snowing like hell in the mountains, 15 feet of snow at some ski areas.

Top off here to in the mid 70's. Boy do I hate summers here especially when you get such great winters here. And tomorrow its supposed to be better!

57 in the Seattle area - not a targa - but enjoyed taking her out and stretching her legs. After a month gathering dust in the garage it was great to re-experience that great Porsche feeling!

Had mine out for the first time in a month - 48 degrees and snow still on the ground so the top was on. Best 10 minutes in the last 30 days!

Took her out for 80 mile stretch last night and she did fantastic. However, the top was on and rattling. After the holidays, I will have something else to take a look at.

Yesterday went top in the trunk to see Santa with Lisa and the boys. Today, went to look at Christmas lights. It is 60 degF here, but the santa hat blowing in the breeze made it feel more like Christmas.

OK Bob, you busted me. 3 weeks ago we had a dump of snow. After that the temps turned cold with the 20s at night and low to mid 40s during the day with freezing fog creating black ice conditions. The freezing weather finally broke to a downpour of rain over an inch and record warm temperatures. Now we have flooding rivers and the snow at the ski areas has turned to crap. Soooo, to make a long story longer; The roads were semi-dry a lot of the sand was washed off the streets (from the sanding trucks) due to the downpour and it was time to get the car out.

I'm thinkin' for Christmas day: The fun warden can take her Lexus, pick up the neices and nephews and head to the relatives for Christmas dinner at her sister's house..............I can watch football, leave later in the Targa, take the long route, eat and then excuse myself early for a nice ride home before dark....More football and a drink or two before she gets home.......That's the plan....

Christmas Eve day was 80 degrees in Socal. Took the Cab out for a self-serve wash in Newport and expecting 75 degrees today as well.
Previous white christmas in NYC (while living in NJ for 4 years) are a thing of my past, but at least I can take the Porsche out on PCH...... ;-)
