OK or wash car cover?

In my recent car purchase an original Porsche Silverguard car cover was included. It's a bit nasty and mildewy. Is this something that can be thrown in a washing machine?

Thanks for your help

yeah, I washed different car covers many times, just make sure you dry it pretty good

you might want to use a commercial (coin-op) laundry machine, gentle cycle, and air-dry it when spring arrives.

This is the exact advice California Car Cover once gave me.

Definitely use the laundrymat industrial washers and dryers. They cost double than the regular machines but can handle the heavier wet covers.

Thanks all for the advice. I also inhereted a cover from a 993TT that I'll give a try. Just thought the one that came with the car would be best and worth saving.
