Hello. I am a new member who wants to introduce himself. After lurking for some time, I felt it was time to officially join.

First, I want to thank the members for the valuable advice I have already obtained from the forum. I have learned a lot & I am grateful for the forum. Thank you to Wayne for hosting it.

I have 1988 Carrera Coupe that I bought in Feb 2001 after 20+ years of wanting a 911. I try to participate in 2 DEs per year -- I would love to do more but I do not currently have the time/budget.

I know the rules require me to post a photo of my car (to avoid harassment), so I will attempt to do so. Believe it or not, I have never taken a digital photo of my car (even though I have a digital camera), but my brother-in-law took some shots of me at Mid-Ohio in Oct. I will try to post a couple.

Thanks again. I look forward to learning much in the coming months/years.

Welcome Doug. Nice to see another Buckeye on the board. If you're looking for some Mid Ohio action next year, especially with the track being completely repaved this winter, check out the local Nasa OH/IN chapter (www.racenasa.com). They've got 3 Mid Ohio events plus the Nasa Nationals. I dropped the NORPCA Mid Ohio DE in October after attending a few Nasa events.

Dutchie -- that is an incredible transformation of your car...backdating to a track monster. While I plan to do some things, I do not plan to go that far!

88 Club Sport -- very nice car...I would love to have a Club Sport. Most I have seen are white -- it is nice to see a red one.

I've heard some people say that there were actually other colors manufactured....that's just crazy talk, for sure.

I've seen a few pics of this black one, in LA, driven by some guy named Jack...nice looking ride, but surely the paint color is after market.
