Master Cylinder Electrical Connection
Changing my 20mm M/C to a 23mm. The electrical connection farthest to the rear on the new M/C has a three prong connector and the old one had a two prong. Any suggestions?
TIA, John

Is it the reverse switch? If so can you just swap the two prong one for the three prong one?

I can't swap the connectors as I've sold the existing M/C to a Pelican and don't want to stick him with the same problem.

You can order a 2 prong switch from Pelican or modify the plug to allow the third prong to clear. The switches are for the brake lights.

I had the same thing-ended up making jumper cables from the 3 prong female plug with spade connectors onto two of the MC switch connectors. That way I kept the stock plug on. The brake lights work fine. Simple crimp-on spade connectors sized appropriately....

You can use just one switch if you want. I only use one on my twin MC setup and the lights work fine.
Cheers

Finally getting around to these connections. There are two leads in the wiring harness. The wires are the same on both connectors with a black with yellow tracer on one side and a blue with green tracer on the other. Does it matter which connector goes to which side of the plug on the M/C?
