Since I'm getting ready to place an order, I thought I'd post a quick survey as to how many buy the hazard insurance when purchasing new tires.

I don't buy it on my everyday cars as the places I buy will rotate and fix flats for free. Plus their an SUV and PU truck tire.
I did buy it on the SO3's that I'm running now because IMO low profile tires are easier to damage. They don't have as deep of thread when you run over stuff, thinner side walls, etc. Your also more likely to run them low on air and damage them. |

I buy it because I get a good enough discount through my "hobby job" that I am basically paying less than sale price anyway.

Thanks
I'll probably go with it for the 993 tires. I've had one tire on the SC end up unrepairable because of the nail location.

Really do not want any kind of repair on a Z rated tire.. kinda defeats the whole point, IMO..

In 35 years of driving, I have had two tire failures that could not be repaired. The cost of hazard insurance on all of those tires over the years would have greatly exceeded the replacement cost of the two tires I had to replace.
And I agree with Bill also, if I actually hit 140+ mph in my car, I don't want to wonder if the repair plug is going to stay in the tire.
