CIS While you're in there!

1. Chasing a large vacuum leak that causes the car to not hold idle, I have found a 2" gash at the rear of the CIS air boot and have replaced the boot.
2. Replaced as many vacuum hoses as possible except for the special 3-4 branches molded hose (big bucks item).
3. Replaced the breather gaskets, and o-rings, and associate hard to reach items in the back last time so not going to do it again this time.
4. Replaced the leaky 1" diameter oil tank breather hoses (2 each)
5. Removed the timing chain boxes, replaced the seals, the o-rings, and re timed the cams.
6. Waiting on some sealant from DavidI to seal the OD of the nose bearing (it is leaking at the 7-8 oclock position)
7. Valve adjusted
8. Gunk scraped off and cleaned the case again.

What else for the CIS should be tackled at this time?

You could replace the injector seals and do a quick spray check of each injector.

Send the injectors in to be cleaned. Cheap and easy.

I had good luck with Witchhunter...
