Relocation of 3.2 DME?

This past year my car got caught in a rather heavy storm and got water inside. I thought I had all the water cleaned up and proceeded to go to a DE. Once driving around more water appeared and got into the DME. It seems the water came from the petal cluster area.

Being I have lexan windows in the car, getting water in the car is going to happen from time to time.

I am looking to see if anyone has relocated their DME to a more convienent place and to 'higher ground'. Any suggestions or pictures would greatly be appreciated.

I have seen them mounted vertically behind the seats on the on the little wall that leads up to the rear seats. It was mounted for the excact reason you state, water in the car....

Cheers

I think you would find it quite a mess to re-route the harness to another location. It might be simplest to raise the DME on four standoffs to give you some space. Hopefully, you would notice a half-inch of water on the floor before the DME ever got wet. Alternatively, you could fabricate a waterproof barrier around the DME simply enough.
