basic 911 help sources

I'm a new Porsche owner, having just bought an 87 cab and am looking for good sources of information for basic maintenance procedures. I intend to purchase Wayne's 101 Projects, and have the owner's manual for the car, but would like to know more, for example, how to get at the bulbs in the fog lamps!

Any suggestions you folks have as far as sources for information and guidance would be most appreciated.

Took my first ride with the top down on Sunday - an experience I've been waiting 30 years for!

Welcome

Sprio

Welcome to the board! As a relative newbie, I can tell you that the absolute best place for information is right here. I use the search function often and have found terrific information. Read the FAQ, and the tech articles. As others will undoubtedly agree, Wayne's book is essential.

Good luck, good driving, and as always post pix of your new ride.

Alan

Thanks! I'll try to post a picture when I get home from the office. Seems as if I can't go ten minutes without thinking of the car! My wife thinks I am a fanatic- I guess I am.

sprio, when I got my first 911 (1972 model) I must have spent two complete days just going through the postings on the 911 tech board.

Welcome! You came to the right place (this board) along with Rennlist for help and guidance from MANY knowledgable experts. The 101 Projects is great, but I'd also pick up a Bentley Manual (for the Carreras) which goes into much greater detail in many areas.
