You could try what my previous owner did, he went with the club sport shelf (made out of particle board and covered in german carpet)

I think he saved a little bit of weight from the rear and gave it a 2-seater look in doing this, secondly, makes for a great shelf to place a golf bag on.

Here is my 87 that I did a few months ago. The carpet and door panels are from Appbiz.

What happened to all the electricals that were in the console?

Also, no heater levers?

Thanks.
Most of the center console switches are history. I removed the AC a while back so those switches were not needed. The central lock I decided to live without. The only other switches are the rear window defrost and the hazard switch. Both I moved to the lower dash where the radio used to be. I don't have a pix of the switches in the dash but can take one if you'd like to see it.
Also, the car has auto heat so there's no heat levers just the temp control dial on top.
The only thing left that I want to do is make a leather shift boot but I need to decide on a shift knob first.

I'd like to see the switches, just to get the whole picture.

BTW, is your headliner blue? And are the door panels leather or vinyl?

Here's a pix of the switches. Yes, the headliner is blue. The entire interior was blue. Now it is blue from the door tops up.

Hey Don911. Car looks great. I did the same with APpbiz parts, but used some 74 SPort seats (that's my car farther up.) Search on my screenname for my solution to the G50, I basically painted the shifter frame and I think it looks great. Bobn at appbiz also said he would make a boot out of leather if I sent him a pattern for our G50s. Feel free to take him up on that offer.

Oops forgot to mention. Those RSA rear shelves way about 15 pounds, if weight is more important than function, you may want to consider that. They are useful though.

Sushinav, I lifted the center console delete look from your car. Thanks for the tip on Appbiz. I'm going to try to make the boot myself first. If it doesn't work out, I'll give Bob a call.

Re: rear shelf...here's one from an early car (not a backdate). Not sure if it's factory, but looks fairly simple to replicate.

don911 is that Appbiz carpet perlon or something a little bit more substantial? Looks great! I am just looking for a new set of carpet, but to me the perlon looks like it might not last long for everyday use.

Thanks Kurt. I did the plush carpet instead of the perlon. Bob sent me samples of both and the perlon was a little too light weight for a daily driver I think. The plush is holding up well. Though under the driver door is about the only place it gets any real wear.
