My First 911 Repair - Thanks Wayne!!
My shifter was acting up. I noticed it about a week ago, the shifter itself seemed to be slipping ever so slightly. Yesterday it got worse, I could barely get it in gear.
I busted out my haynes manual and it was useless. So I pulled out the 101 projects for you 911 by Wayne. Even thought the project did not address my problem there was plenty of detailed pictures on the shifter project for me to discern it was the coupler right behine the seats under the inspection panel. I pulled the panel, threw the shifter, and yup!! it was the coupler. I tightened it up and I am good as new. Thanks Wayne!!

You might want to do the shifter & coupler bushings while you're thinking about it. Easy & you should feel an improvement.

They have been done already by the PO. It seems like he didn't tighten up the coupling enough when done. The shifter is very tight otherwise. I just noticed it felt like it was slipping a week or so ago.
But, thanks that is a great upgrade to do to your linkage. I bought this car in Sept because the PO had replaced EVERYTHING on it.
