Surprisingly easy job - for a change!
Just got my freshly painted rocker panels reinstalled today, with all new stainless hardware, repainted oil line brackets, etc. I had done my homework on reinstalling the rub strip and expected it to be a bit of a chore, so I had everything super-clean and dry, and the WD40 at hand. But I thought I'd try just sliding them on dry first, and to my amazement the pretty much slid right on! Actually they slid on easily about 85% of the way, then I just alternated pushing one end and pulling the other, about an inch at a time, until they were in place. Took about 5 minutes a side, and the fit is perfect. I'm totally shocked, expecially after the way the rest of the suspension/brake project went. Nice little reward at the end for a change! Just had to share...

Your lucky it was so easy. It usually takes me some time to get them on. It may have to do with the age of the rubber being softer or harder and grabbing the rockers more.
Keep up the good work.
