New bedroom for Ginger
When I moved back to Dallas a year ago, I bought a cool 70+ year old house in old east Dallas. (yes, it does snow in Dallas)
![]() The entie house is a project, but the biggest prob is that it had no functional garage. There was originally a 15'x19' carraige house, but that had been converted into a room of pleasure complete with sauna and an in ground wave pool/hot tub. The overhead door for the space had been replaced with windows as can be seen in front of Maryanne. ![]() After wrestling for months with the gas company about moving the meter, we were finally able to get started with the new garage last fall. Demo of the pleasure room came first. ![]() The mongo hot tub thingie. ![]() ![]() |

More fighting with the city on permits, and we are finally seeing progress. The slab was formed last week and poured yesterday.

The mud was curing real slow last night, so we covered it with plastic and my boys are back early this morninig to butterfly the slab and wreck the forms.
![]() Got a new porch poured at the side door. I had the guys add a little artistic embellishment to the porch and the apron on the garage. ![]() ![]() Framer starts on Monday!!!! We are pleased. |

Should have had them build you a grease pit in the floor.

Mark, I'm happy for you. A guy needs a garage more than he needs a hot tub. Are your shelving, workbench, & tool storage plans all in place? How about wiring in a 220 plug-in, just in case?

I was expecting a couple of crests in the slab.
Looks very nice.
