Gas Leak Help!
Started car up last night. (1971 911E) Did my usual inspection of the engine before driving it. Car was idling ok, but a little rough. Got underneath and noticed two obvious gas leaks! One was leaking above drive's side heat exchanger. (towards front of car) The other seemed to be coming towards the center of the engine.
I turned the car off. I checked the fuel line connections inside the engine compartment to the fule filter and the MFI. They were fine. I started the car up again and there was no leak. I am revisiting this tonight to see if it will leak gas again when I start it up. Any ideas? Is the fuel pump leaking? Thanks! |

DO NOT DRIVE!! The risk is too great. How old are your fuel lines? If older then 10 yrs then replace them all. Kind of a pain but needs to be done. Here's a great link.fuel hose
