911SC Mohr Imports in Montery Calif? Any feedback on them?

I have expanded my search for a 911sc to the left coast. I have to factor the cost of shipping the car to MA into the budget now. My thoughts were I might find a more "solid" base for a weekend driver (streetable track car)

Anyone have any feedback on Mohr Imports in Monterey?

www.mohrimports.com They have a 2 owner SC with 94k "california miles" lol for $12,500.

Anyone know of a good honest Independent near this dealer should I get to the PPI stage.

Thanks

Andrew Conti

I bought my 1978 sc from mohr three or four years ago and drove it back from monterey to toronto.
This was a cheap, high mileage car, but it was exactly as described and i would deal with mohr again without hesitation.

I bought my 1986 911 from them. Had the PPI done in Santa Cruz (Tim Benson's Fastlane Porsche). PPI turned out great, car has been flawless for six years now. I'd go back to Mohr as well.

Andrew, you sold a beautiful petrol blue euro SC a few months ago with cibie, ducktail, centre fill .... that car was the bees knees.
What gives? You looking to get back into something similar?
I remember that car and thinking that whomever bought it was going to be really lucky.
I'll do whatever I can to help you find what you want. its just that it seems like you used to have that.
Karl.

Karl,

You forgot that Andrew's car had KILLER PLAID seats and wide steel wheels if I am correct. Yes, that car was big time drool worthy!

Larry, you are so right. Man ... those plaid seats were killer ... they sent the hounds tooth back to the dentist, ... they were so killer !!
And the wheels ..... oh boy ... I remember telling Paul Ripley what a killer car that was ... it was one of my favorite SC's ....
I hope you find similar or hit the new owner over the head gently, so he sells it back to you :D

Mohr Imports is a 1st class outfit. As for the PPI, try David Loop (Loop European - 831-393-9995). He is a small independent Porsche mechanic that services the needs of the Monterey Peninsula Porsche community.

I purchased an '84 Carrera from these folks and drove it back to Vancouver Island with no issues. Would not hesitate to recommend this business;)

Andrew,
I remember your blue SC and thinking how bad asz it looked and wishing I was in the market at the time.
Good luck with search!
Question, who did your center fill install on your former ride?

Hi Andrew,

We don't have an SC with 94k miles in inventory at the moment. We do have other SC's in stock. The only car not on our website is a nice 1980 SC coupe with 150k for that price.

Thank you,
Adam Mohr
