Well the tub should be coming back from the coater by the end of this week. Other body parts (namely the front fenders and hood) have been baked, washed and sanblasted. They also will be e-coated by the end of the week. Then the car is going to be taken to the body-shop. There they will do the finishing touches to the body (there are a couple of rough spots on the rear fenders) and then spray the outside. After that (say 2 weeks ?!?) it's time to put it all back together... In the meanwhile Dr Timmins sent me a couple of pics of the finished engine... He's waiting on the fan... I had it powder coated Mexico Blue... | ||

Matteo.. it looks awsome . I am also sticking with the stock 993 distributer how do you use the motec with the stock distributer? would a cranck sensor be better? Also what are your plans for getting air to the heat-exchagers?

For the heat Dr Timmins will build a custom heat distribution tube. It is pretty neat.

Hey, sorry in advance for the repeat question if this is a repeat. But what about that oil filter in place of the on engine cooler? It looks like a cool idea but what about getting to it every month? It looks ominous. And I guess that big front mount will more that make up for the loss of the on engine unit? I'm not questining, just questioning.

Quattro the 993 motor does not have an engine mounted cooler. So that's why you need to be a little creative when u swap one of these into an early tub. The front mounted cooler will be enough (I should hope) to keep the temps down. As per the filter... that is the secondary one, but it is where they are mounted on the 993. So you reach it from underneath...
