Footwell Blower Install

I'm getting ready to start a footwell blower install into my 82SC and have a couple of questions which I hope can be answered. I've got the two blowers, the original resistor pack and the centre console from an A/C car which has a 3 speed switch which I'm going to use to control speed. My questions are

1. The blowers have 2 air outlets (one small, one large), it obvious where the large outlet connects, but where does the small outlet connect ? anyone got a photo / diagram of the carrera set-up ?

2. Where is the best place to mount the resistor pack / where is it mounted on a Carrera ?

your help is most appreciated

Thanks

David

David,
The resistor pack is mounted in the trunk behind the glovebox on two spring clips.
As for the ducting of the the blowers. The big outlet is going to channel heated air up through the bottom of the dash. The little outlet routes air to the side vents to help defog the side windows. I'm amazed how nicely they work. Unfortunately you are going to need a couple of more parts, small diameter hoses and the wye connectors that will allow you to combined the heated air with the vent or A/C air that flows to those side vents.
The parts I'm refering to are 13 & 18 and the hoses 10 &12.

These were a real pain to install on my 78SC especially on the drivers side but well worth the effort.

The second image shows the early duct work on the footwell blowers and the mounting clip for the resistor pack, part 10.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably get the 'y' pieces from porsche (depending on cost).

Anyone have photo of exactly where and how the resistor is mounted, I'd like to put in the same place if I can.

Thanks

David
