more on ssi with cat

hey durrett and aigel sorry for the delay, but this system i bulit consist of a kragen universal cat with a 2.5 in/out and a small resonator which looks like a small car muffler. the muffler in/out are offset. every opening is a slip fit so i put them together with clamps and tack welds. Now the trick was to fit the ssis to this compact little system. Using short radius mandel bent piecies from summit racing, and a pair of flanges that fit the ssis, I formed what looked like the early bursh system with the driver's side meeting the pass. side where I hand made a collector. all said and done I ended with a 2.5 inch single outlet capturing both ssi outlets. I seems like a lot of work but it worked.... I then clamped the cat-muff in place, welded a simple tail pipe on the had a local guy with a smog check machine test and adjust. Took it in and passed. Went home and put my sport muffer back on. I'll try to post a pic .

I've heard of folks doing such with generic cats to pass smog, esp in CA. I'm always tempted ...can you post pics?

I'd like to see your pics. To upload a pic. First size it accordingly, maybe not bigger than 800 pixels wide.

To actually post a pic, click the yellow "post reply" button. Type in whatever text you want and then below that click on the "Click her to Upload a Photo" link.
