Wimpy horn....anybody ever use an OOooga horn?

The horn on my SC sucks.....sounds like I have a limp wrist and wear Birkenstocks.....not that there's anything WRONG with that....

Anyone ever use one of these? Is it legal?

I have a horn in the tool box that came off a old car I once had. It has a keyboard, and it plays 15 different tunes. I sometimes have the urge to hook it up in the p-car and piss off the purists. They would'nt know what hit them. I dont care what the horn sounds like, the old "ahoooooga" and such are fun, which is what life is. Like they say, " when you stop laughing, you die".

Porsche Crest

These 134 dB performers even look stock with their red horn trumpets, and sure are tempting to me ... at a bargain price!

My horn sounded wimpy too. I think only the smaller horn was working (kinda). I took them off and gave them a good steam cleaning. Both sound great now. Never put on the hella disk I bought to replace them.

I've thought about one of those air driven horns that sound like a diesel rig. I think that would get people's attention.

My 1923 Packard had one and it was pretty effective. Unlike the brakes.

Will they fit up in the space on a Carrera?

My dad put an original (I think) OOggaahh horn in his SC.

I am pretty sure he still has it.

As I recall he placed it in the driver's front fender... I could ask him to be sure.

Oh yah, he LOVES IT!

I use the FIAMMS *specifically* to remove the intrusive trumpet style OEM horns...so there is a cleaner shot of air to the factory oil cooler.

I put a set of these on my SC. They are loud and sound good and they mount the same way as the originals.

The original owner had an oooga horn on the Duster when I got it. I hate that sickly sounding POS.

I had some FIAMM model 74100s on my previous old pickup and they sounded good. 130db

My SC blows too, barely. What I want to know is why the horn sounds much louder when the car alarm goes off. Does the alarm have it's own horn?
