Hello,
I have been reading a few of the recent posts regarding seat fit for tall folks with helmets. I have the same issue, but a slightly different question. I would like to get some new seats, or at a minimum a driver's side seat just for the track. Something with good bolstering, moderately comfortable, and workable with regular seatbelts but eventually a harness. My question is this. Where can you go to actually put your butt in these seats? I know there are a few good manufacturers out there, such as Recaro, Sparco, Corbeau, etc... but do regular racing shops carry these that you can sit in them before you buy them? I admit that I have not looked, since I don't frequent the shops that typically cater to Ford, Chevy and Dodge or Japanese accessories, but I know a lot of you have bought aftermarket performance seats. How did you know which ones to get without sitting in them first? Any help would be appreciated. JA '73 RS Spec Coupe
