Interior Lights Fuse #4 -cause of Dead Battery
On a 86 911 I traced my problem to fuse # 4, interior lights, that was pulling a lot of current when the vehicle was off causing a dead battery in 1 day. This fuse runs cargo light, interior light between visors, clock, radio, and glove box light.
Looking at the wiring manuals I see that one wire spilts to four and then continues to the radio. The radio is aftermarket with a dedicated line to the battery. The problem is I can't find the spilt to test each line for a ground out or faulty part or a bad wire termination that the radio no longer uses. I also noticed that my cargo light stopped working. I checked the bulb but can't tell where these wires go either. Any ideas? |

Yep, that was what got me thinking that someone else might know. I was hoping this was the cause so I tried it and no luck.

I found my login but still can't find the problem. My battery less than one year old also.
