Water leakage

This is something I'd like to get done before spring (along with braided brake hoses to replace the originals)... I noticed that when the car sits for a long time in the rain, that the front floors get wet. My floor mats got soaked one day I can't see any water dripping in anywhere when I drive in the rain though. The sunroof, doors, etc are tight, dash is not wet either. Are there any "common" areas that leak water that would cause the floor mats to get wet? Maybe it *is* the windshield seal? Perhaps a trunk seal? I haven't had any time yet to spray water on it, especially since its below freezing now, but it would be nice to get this straightened out. The car is super super dry as in no rust, but something has to be leaking. The car is a 78 911 SC. Thanks for any insight!

Sounds like the windshield seal. The water can run behind the dash into your carpet.

There also is the fresh air vent that can get water in your cab, if the drain is clogged. This is the vent in the center of the cowl / hood. You may want to do a search on that. That's more common when driving though.

Braided brake hoses are not an upgrade on a street car; replace the originals with new OEM hoses.

I think aigel's guess is correct. Same as my problem. My carpet isn't soak but wet. Lately, I found the underneath the dash has water running. One source is the windshield seal. THe other source is my convertible. Any other source of leak, I don't know yet.
You can try by leaving your car under the rain for a long time, then run ou there and sit in it to.. listen to the music
