Talking Cincinnati, OH Pelicans?

I realize this isn't "technical", but this is widely viewed...I'll probably post another on the "off-topic" section as well...

Any Cincinnati Pelicans out there? I'll be joining the local PCA shortly...but thought I'd see if there were any locals.

Any one who likes to turn a wrench in the area, drop me a line...I've got a couple of projects coming up (including an engine drop), and could use an extra hand (I'll supply the cold beer)

I just live up the road in Indiana. Send me a PM anytime, because I too would like to learn more.

There are actually several of us porsche people around...we are mostly PCA members, I encourage you to join the local region...plenty of events both racing, touring, fun stuff after it warms up.

Jerry, thanks for the reply....I'm trying to wrap up a few projects before the Spring. It looks like my main seal might be leaking (nothing major...just noticed a couple of drops). Either way, before I undertook such a project I wanted to gauge the willingness of other Pelicans in the area. I can always take it to Farler, but it would be nice to get my hands dirty...after all, that's one of the reasons I purchased the car.

"Any Cincinnati Pelicans out there?"

I hope to be soon. Spring at the latest.

Slot, are you sure it is your main seal? There is an oil sensor on the top front of the motor that will leak down and look like that.

"Why would anyone hope to be in Cincinnati?!?"

I grew up there and have family and friends there. The kids need to know their family and I like Cincinnati. I can travel anywhere, but the midwest is home.

I'll chime in too. I live in Amberley Vilage.

The local PCA chapter seems like a friendly, active group. Although I have not had a chance to participate as much as I would like.

I'm having a mid-rise lift delivered next week, so if you want to stop by and put it to work let me know.

Cincinnati's not such a bad place, Doug. That is, unless you really need mountains, beach or nice weather!

Theres a guy I run into regularly at the IGA who runs autocrosses mostly with Miatas, but anyone's welcome. They'll run at GE park, Kentucky Motor Speedway and Scarlet Oaks.

Mid-Ohio's only about 4 hours away.

With enough beers, Cincinnati might start to look really good. There are lots of nice area's of that town, and whats nice, it's close to lots of tracks and activities. Slotcar, if we pull your engine and dont find any leaks, well then, just open another beer and think about what we can do next.

Sounds like a plan guys...
I might even nose around tomorrow a little... just change out the brake fluid...and maybe plan a strategy for the other items. I already spoke with Jerry...sounds like he's up for turning a wrench. I have to start painting a bedroom tonight...wife's orders....if I can show her I'm making progress, it will make my life easier I'll throw it out there...if any of you guys want to stop by tomorrow, let me know....I realize tomorrow is New Year's Eve, so if you guys are up for it....I'll be in the garage around 10AM till about 2PM or so... shoot me a PM with your phone if interested...I live in Anderson Twnshp... (refreshments provided)
