Anyone else having "page loading" problems in here?

Ever since "New Pelican" came along, it seems the page will time out before it can load for several iterations before finally working. I have changed nothing on my system, and it happens on more than one machine that I use. Are there just too many new members?

No problems here.

What Browser are you guys using? I use Netscape 7.1

I have had some curious behavior lately. When you click to go to another page nothing happens. The Windows icon doesn't even move. This only happens sometimes, but enough that I have noticed it. I thought it was something to do with my system.

I've had problems too.

Slow loading at times as well here.

Same here with the slow load/no response. Also, on occasion, the text will load but pictures will not.

Ditto - real bad last evening. Better today

I've noticed a change too, not like it used to be.

There have been some Internet problems lately that have caused slowdowns, but nothing really specific to this site. I have a separate cable modem here at home on a local Adelphia network, and it's always super fast for me...

We're getting an additional T1 next week, but I haven't seen network loading being a problem...

I couldn't connect to the site at all between about 7:00pm and 10:00pm EST last night.

Thanks for the heads up, Wayne. Must be just a "phase".

Could it be too much band width is being consumed by triple Ds avatars being compressed causing a disruption in the time-space continuim? Quick, where's the flux-capacitor!?

What Rick said...

Yup...I'm having an impossible time uploading photos ... used to be just difficult. Is it the fact that I have dial-up or is the problem at the other end?

Every once in a while there are slow upload times or e-mail notification will take you to the wrong reply.

Also, Something else that's kind of strange, your avatar shows up clothed.
