Will these wheels fit without problem?

Sorry about the tired old question but after searching the forum I'm still not certain.

I'm looking to upgrade the wheels on my 1988 turbo cab. It still has the original Fuchs and although the look is sexy, the wheels look skinny.

I found a set of wheels and tires that are just sick!

CCW. 18x9.5, 18x11. 245/40 front 285/35 rear PZero Rosso.

Sounds a little generous but if it will fit then I'm in.

Will they rub????? Will they stick out???
What about spacers?????

Thanks for the help.

Q - Just ask CCW - they will make you the wheels with the right "MAX" size so you dont have any problems. I think your main concern here will be offset.

Good idea. Thanks a bunch.

If they were made for a Porsche (which is a safe assumption, if the bolt pattern is correct), then they were either made for the 1965-1989 hubs, or for the 1989-and-up hubs. The only way to put the post-89 wheels on a pre-89 car is to use spacers. (There's really nothing you can do if you want to put earlier wheels on the later cars.)

What were the wheels on previously?

The wheels where on a 1986 930 turbo. My only concern was that some of the posts I read mentioned rubbing of the fender with the 245 tire size before wheel lock.

Did they rub on the other turbo? Yours should be identical to the 1986 (except a cabriolet, of course)

Will ask. Just checking here with the experts, just in case.

I called CCW and got some answers. Nice people there. A new set of classic design is about $2080.00 The used set is being offered for $2000.00

I guess it is now clear as daylight. New wheels all the way.

I just have to get my wife to fork over the money.

Any suggestions????????????
