Spherical LED design taillight bulbs

Has anyone tired these LED lights in the 911 taillight? They are setup in a spherical (ball like) design for more of a "box" of light rather than the bright spot of light you normally get with LEDs. This is all theory and I am curious if anyone has tried them?
