The car actualy sold for $36,000 + 8% Buyers Commission = $38,880 + $350 Bidder registration fee

Don't forget ... the seller also pays an 8% Commission and the original consignment fee.

At those rates I'm not sure "BJ" is short for Barrett-Jackson

They are welcome to the Porsche scene in my eyes. Maybe if they made these cars more exclusive it would keep them out of the hands of people who obviously can't afford them and ruin them over time.

There's a lot to like about that car, but that's a lot of money to pay for a car with that color combination. Is that an original paint scheme? Yuch!

I try to look at it in a different but still positive attitude:

When the bottom falls out and the speculators and collectors move on to the next big thing. There will be a bunch of afordable well maintained low milage fun cars back on the road. When Dad was working at a Ferrari shop in the 70's he saw the same thing happen.

It is at least a hope.

I think this will be the case with all the muscle cars but I think it's unlikely with Ferrari's and such again. Cudas and crap like that will be nowhere near the outrageous pricing in a few years.

On Wed. they sold a 1987 Guards Red 930 with 62,000 miles for $30,000 USD. They said car could have used a day in the detail shop.

They just sold a 930 with an after-the-fact slant-nose for $50K. There were several things that looked off on the front end... and if they're visible on TV I have to wonder what it looked like in person.

Yeah, the COA confirmed the slant-nose was aftermarket. I have to wonder if the buyer understands the difference.
