964 rear window question
 

Ive secured a rear 964 glass for my 930 but it has a hole for the wiper motor. porsche tells me that all the 964 rear windows had the rear wiper. anyone know any different?


has anyone used a plug to fill the hole instead of installing the wiper motor?

did the wiper fit in the 911?


btw, I looked for previous threads and could not find any that answered my question

I seem to recall that many 944's had plugs in the glass if they didn't have the wiper. That may be a source.

i've tried that already, they are too small

Not the greatest picture, but this is a 964 rear window with 3rd brake light and defroster mounted in an 87. No holes for wiper motor. I think he bought this new.

I have an 89 with 964 front and rear windscreens - also have 964 cam towers, since they were running out of carrera parts. No wiper holes.

well, maybe the porsche parts guy was wrong

I'd think he has to be - my window hasn't been changed from new, and i have that window, seal, brake light, etc.

Plus, they can't have not delivered a single 964 without a wiper.

Rear wiper was an option on 964. No wiper = no hole in the rear window. I have a 1990 964 C2 without the rear wiper.

no rear wiper also.

My 91 964 has no holes.

So if the 964 window fits pre 89 body's would a rear window fit my 964 from a pre 86??????

I want to get rid of the third brake light and the ugly black surround it leaves when you take it out.

Some one please answer this question. I have been trying to find out if it is possible for a really long time...

i dont know. i know that the 964 glass and seal wiil fit the 911 but not sure if it works the other way
