Aluminum Racing wheels????
Has anyone ever seen these on a 911, early or late?
I have a set that I am trying to figure out what brand they are. They are very lightweight. They appear to be Aluminum, they may be Magnesium. They are Size 15. They are picturesd on the front of my 71T. They have Goodyear slicks on them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Len Doh... I will post a pic or two in a minute.

Those appear to be Centerline (brand).
All the rage 20 years ago with HP street and drag racing crowd. Yes. spun aluminum. Very light, very strong. |

Centerline Auto Drag
http://www.centerlinewheels.com/wheels_detail.php?mw_id=11&sw_id=66 I would not think that these make much sense as road course track wheels. No brake ventilation. George Last edited by aigel; 01-19-2006 at 03:00 PM.. |

I have seen the Centerlines on the drag cars. I had never seen them on a 911. They seem as if they would really block air flow to the brakes.. Thanks again. Len

Your assessment was the same as mine.
No brake ventilation, cause they fit pretty tightly. Len Thanks Len
