Help me identify this early 911 - Is it a 911 GS?

Someone told me this is a 911 "GS" - but I have no clue what that is...

Can someone tell me what year this is, and what model it appears to be?

Looks like a 69-73 T, E or S with various r-gruppe type mods (RS flares, Cibie hood lights, RS front spoiler, center hood fill.)

That car was featured in Excellence several months ago. Think TRE built it up. Owner wanted something different, came up with the GS logo to set the car apart (besides for all the mods). Nice early car with either a 3.0 or 3.2 in it, 915, custom wheels, SC flares, RS front, RS doors, etc. Looks good!

Yes, it has a "custom" 911GS emblem on the decklid.

The photo was taken in Camarillo, about 30 miles from TRE (so that makes sense).

See the April, 2005 issue of Excellence for a story on it. There was never a 911 GS, but this one has had a GS badge on it to set it apart from RSs, etc.
The powerplant is a carb'd 3.0-liter from an SC, and the wheels are 7 and 8-inch Minilites. Overall, its a VERY cool car.
