So long Stuttgart, hello VA
Our time here in Stuttgart is coming to an end. My wife and I move back to our homestate of Virginia tomorrow. The 911 is in Bremerhaven now waiting for the boat ride home.
I want to thank everyone for your support during our time away from the U.S.. Believe it or not, living 20 minutes from Zuffenhausen doesn't mean that parts are cheaper or getting information is easier (I'm sure my very bad German language skills contributed to this). I only hope I was able to reciprocate enough from across the pond. I look forward to seeing some of you at PCA events and the occasional Pelican get-together back home. Wham |
Welcome back. So, where in VA, George?

George,
Too bad we never linked-up, as I live in Wurzburg. But then again, I was deployed 13 months in Iraq. I've been to Stutt twice this past summer and just visited the old red-brick Zuff HQs. Good luck with the transportation of the 911. My guess is the car will arrive port of Baltimore. On my last assignment in Germany, to returned back through Baltimore and the 911 looked great. The folks there are very nice. Vr, Bavaria911 |
Va Beach.
The cars are supposed to come into Portsmouth. Expected arrival 17 Feb. Hopefully they'll be in good shape. The trip over there wasn't without damage. We'll see. |
welcome home george and wife. :) we'll keep our fingers crossed for ya..
