Back seat locks??

I recently bought a 1989 carrera targa (will post pics soon) and I was wondering....The driver's side back seat has a pin with a red end that you pull to unlock the back seat. The passenger side doesn't have this this red pull pin. I was wondering...are both sides supposed to have this pin?? Is one broken? or is there some trick to get the other seat back down??

I think there is supposed to be one on each side to hold the seat backs up.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement for this part?? I looked at our host's website, but couldn't find anything. I may need the whole back seat hinge assembly.

Try Parts Heaven (www.partsheaven.com) or another Porsche recycler as found in Pano.

I'm missing one on the driverside. Let me know where you find it cause I was looking for one a while ago and couldn't find one. So if you find one let me know so I can order one up too.

Thanks!

Check to see if the metal pin is still there by pushing a thin rod (small allen wrench) from the side opposite where the cap would be. If the pin is there, you should see the threaded end of the rod.
