Targa Bar Seal install Question
 

I have an '88 911 and want to replace the roll bar seal. Any trick to it? I did a search and couldn't find anything. Anyone have a link to previous instructions?

It's actually very easy. you can pick up a copy of "101 Projects for Your Porsche 911" by Wayne Dempsey, there is a chapter on replacing Targa weatherstripping. I did it myself last year and it looks great. I'm pretty sure I bought my seals from Pelican. Good luck.

You might want to decide if you want to repaint your targa bar at this time. Once you pull off the old seal, you have easy access to the targa bar and can remove it and paint it or mask around it and use the trusty Wurth black paint and put a fresh coat on it. The seal goes on easy. I would use the black 3M weatherstriping glue vs the yellow stuff. Same price but matches better.
