91-93 carrera issues to look for?

I am looking to purchase my first 911 and had settled on the years of 84-89. I have also heard many people mention that you should buy the newest you can afford. I have seen several 964's for sale...(91-93). Are these cars going to be as reliable as the 80's era cars? Are there particular issues to afraid of when these cars have 120K+ miles on them?
