thinking of turbo conversion for your 3.2

go for it:) l`m having so much fun with mine it is illegal. l live 7 miles down a paved two lane county road that is in my top 3 all time best driving roads l`ve ever been on. lt`s that good and l get to drive it everyday :D The turbo conversion has changed my driving a bit as l find myself doing the "point and shoot" .l`m still a bit weary of having full boost WOT anytime but when l`m pointed straight. l`ll try the Google map feature to post a pic of my road and if anyone is serious about the tubo conversion l have some parts to get you started.wastegate, boost guage,AFR guage, turbo oil line from Promotive, etc. l`m happy to help anyone get started on this

Those all look to be items I need...PM and Email sent. I have a road or two in mind for a nice spring drive....

Rick, you have almost all the parts, right?

RickM 01-28-2006 12:28 PM

Tony, I'm very close. Just picked up an IC, Headers and FMU. Need a few lines with fittings and few other odds and ends.....

I always understood that a turbo conversion on a 3.2 required retrofitting CIS to handle fuel delivery etc....

raceman 01-29-2006 11:54 AM

the path to 3.2 turbodom is pretty well documented here on Pelican if you search for it kqw. The only instance l would fit CIS for a turbo application is if the car had carbs or mechanical fuel injection. The guys with CIS turbos are switching to the 3.2 intake assy. and Motronic,Motec,Megasquirt etc. CIS works okay but electronic fuel injection is the way to go.
