Little light on center tunnel 83' SC
Can someone let me know what this is?
It's just laying there between the passenger seat and the center tunnel. Thank You Vinny

it is "light" that is supposed to have a red cover that says Defrost with 2 arrows.

It is a light for the defroster. I don't really know the purpose of it.

I believe it's screwed down to the tunnel over the carpet. As others said, it should have a plastic cover on it. I believe it is tied in to the blower fan circuit, so that when you pull the two heater levers up, the light should go on,

Mine ('74 US Spec Carrera Targa) goes on and off with the headlights... I guess to help me "find" the heater knob in the dark...

in my 81 sc, that looks like the little lighted 'sign' that mounts on carpet just forward/underneath the red heater handles. It lights up with dash lights and has a lens on it to inform the driver to pull up the red levers for 'defrost'
When lighted looks something like: *************** ^^ Defrost on ^^ *************** check the interior bulbs section on the 911 catalog here at pelican |
