Letsee -- After the usual players like Seinfeld and others start bidding. How will I stack up?

Sell the house -- Nope, Not enough
Sell the stock -- Nope, Not enough
Liquidate the family finances? -- Nope, still short.
Kids?

Oh well. Back to life with the dream car (911) in the garage.

Life is still good!

I can't believe that car is not in the Porsche museum or on a Barrett Jackson stage.

I bet it goes for 2 mil.

If you're in Las Vegas you can see it in person in Caesars Palace forum shops. An exotic car dealer took over the Race for Atlantis facility, and I saw the Porsche Indy car there, along with a bunch of other Porsches, Ferraris, Lambos and a slew of custom bikes.

**How many were made?

Perhaps one with more history (Quaker State chassis?) has more value?

Old Indy cars that were not winners are not in demand. Even winning cars are not big dollar cars unless they are multiple race winners. There was a car that sold a B-J last year, I think it was a car that had been driven by Arie Lyendike (sp?), and I think it went for around $100K. THere is not much you can do with them except vintage race or museum.

I saw it at Ceasar's a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful, along with brake dust and rash. It reminded me of an unrestored warbird. It's a piece of history for sure.

There was a fun simulation game for 19k in the same shop.

Barret Jackson is ot a good place to sell race cars. I saw a few go through, and they got slaughtered. Even the NASCSAR stuff did poorly. It is a grat place to sell American iron, after that it is hit and miss. Put a big block Hemi in this and it might do ok, short of that there is better places to sell. Kevin

I think it would make a fun DE car on club days.

-OR-

Since it is just the way it left the factory, can I go club racing in the "stock" class?

Ceasar's Palace, Vegas?? You think you are going to get a bargain there? That's for the newly minted higher roller who just won the big one at slots, is drunk enough, and his female sidekick says, "Go for it you Big Dog".

Wait,

1980 was a bad year. That is when they went to the double galvanized alusil extra wide bumper pad. I think I will wait for the 1982 which had the improved bumper pad when it comes up for sale...
