964 Fan removal
Ok, I've removed the complete Alternator/Fan assembly. Tried the older 911 method of wacking the end of the shaft with wooden mallet and even dropping it on it's face/shaft on a wood surface from a few inches up and no luck in popping the fan bearing loose. Is the 964 that much different than an older 911 when it comes to fan removal? Is the fan housing on the 964 magnesium as it is fairly dark looking metal? Thanks, MGH
