Hawaii Pelicans - Boxster rental or....

I'll be vacationing in your fine state next month and have a minivan lined up for transport.

I'm sure I'll be going insane midway through my trip in this thing and will need a 1 or 2 day hotrod rental.

Any suggestions as to what and where I can rent? Also any inside info on a cheap mini van would be great too.

Aloha,
Jorian

I was just in Maui and I don't think I got going over 35 mph the whole time I was there. Might want to spend the money on Mai Tais instead.

Stop by my wine bar (Formaggio), five minutes from Waikiki. I'll buy you and gf a drink.

Jorian, on your way into Waikiki from Ala Moana Blvd, as you turn right onto Kalakaua Avenue . . you will see a few exotic cars for rent on the right side of the street. Vipers, Lambos, Ferrari . . . don't ever recall seeing any Porsches.

Cool

Right around where Kalakaua meets Kuhio Ave. like 89 Speedy says, all kinds of "P*nis extensions" for rent.
Last year they had a 996 for about $600.- plus insurance per day, I think.
But, where are you going to go with these rockets? The roads are usually congested and the police is watching.

Spend your money Para-sailing on the ocean instead.
Couple years ago in Maui, our B.C. Premier was busted speeding and D.U.I. Oh, what fun for the press!
Seriously, Other than" Look at me with a hot Porsche", you'll get very little out of it and the locals couldn't care less what you drive.
Been there many times, Oahu and Maui, and found that a bicycle is the best way to get around, or, sometimes just rented any old jalopy.
I'll be there Feb.1-16, on a bicycle mostly. Sun, Sand, Ocean.

For breakfast, try Duke's eggs benedict buffet, across from the International Market.

Enjoy!

I looked around for porsches in Oahu and the only one I could find was a 996 C4 Cab that had already been rented for the week I was there- The price was about $600 per day.

I "settled" for a Maserati, was the first one to rent it, and it was only $400 for the first 100 miles. I drove it around the island for 200 miles for a total of $500. The ferraris and lambos were $1000-$2000/day.

Wifey and I are going for Feb and part of March, but no P car for us, I have an Impala for the duration, oh yeah, $21.00 a day. That speedster does look sweet! We'll be over on the leeward side, by Waianae. I suppose I should dig out a suitcase, or at least start to find one..Leaving on Tues. , where is my sunblock??

hmm...kailua...nice place to be on vacation. Wes' wine bar is in the lower level of Market City Shopping Center, kinda close to Waikiki. Hope the link works. If not it's at 2919 Kapiolani Blvd, zip is 96826.
