Post images of Gulf Racing cars.
I have decided to go with a full Gulf Racing style decal treatment on Papa Smurf. Please post all images of any Gulf Racing car you have Porsche or otherwise. I am thinking a 14” GULF decal for the hood and two 7” decals for the rear quarters behind the wheels. What else should I do? Racing number meatballs on the doors? How about the GULF – PORSCHE along the front wheel arches? The car has Bilstiens, so I was thinking Bilstien decals on the rear wheel arches. Also a driver’s name above the drivers door on the roof. Perhaps Thrown_Hammer?
I was also thinking of the Mobil Pegasus on the front fenders in front of the doors but wasn’t sure if the Gulf and Mobil oil decals should be on the same car? And please don’t tell me to leave the car the way it is. We both know this is impossible. ![]()

Chuck,
Post some Gulf Racing cars and I will tell you where the decals are coming from.... ![]() I am having them custom made by a GruppeB guy. He is still in the prototype stage. I am having the GULF letters done in negative instead of dark blue. That way the Gulf Blue on the hood will show thru. Just a little custom touch. I am sure he could do the "correct" three color decal though. I will contact him and see if he is ready for a production run.

Cool. Keep 'em coming. Here are a few I have saved.
![]() ![]() ![]() It seems as if all the true Gulf race cars only had Gulf Sponsorship....Man I really like the Mobil Pegasus on the front fenders though.

Shawn, you're right. The Pegasus wouldn't look right on a Gulf liveried car.
It would be one or the other. Have you thought about a flat primer look?? ![]()
