Powder Coated SWB engine tin
First of all, a huge shout-out to Mike, (NY65912) who made this happen in an incredibly professional, fast and efficient manner. Mike, I am absolutely blown away by how nice this turned out. Thank you again. These look like new parts even though they are 40 years old.
This is the engine tin from a 1966 911. Note the "bowl" where the old dual solex mechanical fuel pumps formerly were (although on my 901/05 there's a blank boss there). The correct shade of semi-gloss black, not too glossy, not too flat. ![]() ![]() ![]() I can't wait to get this on, I have stainless hardware to prevent corrosion until the original Kamax is polished, plated and reinstalled for show purposes.

Always glad to help John. We bead blasted, oxide coated then the custom combo of powder.
Let me know when you have the hardware ready and we'll blast and cad plate to your spec. "This I will do for you, but one day, I don't know when, I shall ask you for a favor".......Don Corleone to the undertaker ...GodFather I
