weird clutch plate wear
Well I just replaced my clutch on my 84 911 ( thanks pelican for the quick shipment and don't forget the new helper spring) I did have very unusal wear on the plate , I think. The flywheel side looked great, the presure plate side was down to the riviets and there was black markings on the outer circimfrence of the plate. The clutch had about 30K miles on it, hard but not excisive driving. Any ideas out there on what could have caused such uneven wear?
