Ohhh Yeah! EFI ITB eye candy!
These are going on my 73RS Lightweight car. ECU will be MegaSquirt. These are Jenvey 48mm tapered ITB's, Accel 26lb injectors, and aeroquip socket-less fittings.

Out of curiosity, what is the point of using fuel injectors with carbs?
I'm not being flippant, I really want to know. Thanks.

Those are not carbs, they are Individual Throttle Bodies... They do not have jets like carbs would, thus the injectors... Also, these are for an EFI conversion.

porsche356a there are kits out there that use weber carbs to build something like Brad has. Do a search on Beetle engine,s with Efi i guess they would work on a 356 too.

![]() TWM makes 2-barrel throttle bodies for Weber 356 fitment. I expect Jenvey does also. I am planning somthing like this for my 914 using Weber manifolds. Len ![]() |

Brad, something tells me your avatar is very close to how you are reacting to your SC's rebirth. I see plenty of seat time for you in 06 my brother!
Randy, When my 71 grows up I want an engine just like that!!!

There are at least two US Jenvey distributors that I know of; Mike@MotoMotions (motomotions.com) Mack@ Emerald Performance (emeraldperformance.com) Both places will provide great product and customer service, however, since I purchased product from both gentlemen, I am not going to disclose pricing ![]() If you order the Jenvey Porsche "kit", you'll need to be aware of which injectors you will use (pico or bosch style), intake port sizing, etc. -Brad

How will this ITB setup perform compared to a rebuilt and well-tuned MFI setup?

OK, now that you have told us of options other than TWM, what is the price/feature difference between Jervey and TWM? I assume you know.

If you are coverting from a CIS setup and need to purchase manifolds and linkage, the cost between the Jenvey setup and the TWM 3003 series throttles is within a few hundred dollars of one another.
Comparing the two side by side, the quality is higher with the Jenvey's and I prefer the linkage setup. Another advantage is that the Jenvey's have more sizing options, along with small port or large port manifolds, and straight or tapered bodies. However, the TWM 3003 series are by far the most cost effective solution when converting a carb or MFI car.
