engine compartment release
I went out for a drive this morning and upon returning home, I decided to check my oil. Problem is I couldn't get the engine compartment to open. I pulled on the release lever, but the lid didn't release. The cable seems to be intact because the lever will only go the usual distance. Is there a quick fix to this? Thanks in advance.

I did a search and found the answer. I pulled the T-lever release handle all the way out and locked it with a pair of vise grips. I then went to the deck lid and press down and up lightly and it came up. Problem is when I release the vise grips and try again, I still have the same problem. I'll spend some time on it this week and try and solve the problem. Any more solutions, I'm all ears. Thanks again.
