Just what I needed this morning. Great video. Is there a way to down load it to my hard drive?

Thanks all. This road is amazingly slow. Meaning, once we turn on to it we stall out waiting until the next group of cars turns on to it,,, then we pull out in front of them.

We usually get a few flicks of the high beams trying to get us to go, but we gold as long as we can trying to build as much buffer as possible. I usually go at it with my bike. This was the first time thru in my Porsche.

Gotta love the roads of Washington State.

C U L8R, I might be able to send you a copy of the original movie(s) if you would like. Send me your email address in my PM.

Dean, no white haired Uncle,, sowwy. hehe

I hope more enjoyed this than responded

I counted more than 10 cars passing by, passing at a double line and into an on coming corner and blowing through a stop sign.

Way too many side driveway approaches to be running like that is my personal opinion....maybe at 0300 am.

Here is a quote by you about a crash which caused 2 deaths on the track...you may want to take it to heart.

"Let's all remember we are not on camera being sponsored by a high dollar contributor."

Come to think of it,,,weren't you the old man we passed that was out there mowing his lawn!!!

I was just out having a little fun,, something you obviously know nothing about!

Thumbs down Sorry, I'm with Madmmac

WOW, I was thinking the same thing.
Even a cat running across the road could cause a big problem for you and you camera man!

That's what they invented track days for!

I'm not a grandpa, just the father of a 15 year old that will soon be driving.

I don't even want to think about someone backing out of one of the drives.

Sorry, but as fun as it looks, it can't be worth it!

go ahead flame away!

Jeff

With everybody coming down so hard on Hayabusa, I had to take a look again. OK, I can see where it was probably not the smartest thing to be doing up to about 100 mph on a road with so many driveways. I'd be pretty worried about someone pulling out.

With that said, do we not all like to drive these cars quickly on winding, twisty roads? I'm sure that most all of us have wrung our favorite cars out on our favorite little back roads, probably well over the posted speed limit, and probably significantly faster than the prevailing traffic.

Hayabusa seemed in complete control of his car at all times, driving very smoothly on an easy road. Heck, I've seen video of Jack Olsen driving rather aggressively while trying to keep up with Tyson Schmidt and I don't recall any of us calling him out. Instead we all gave him high fives and wows! We all know that those two guys regularly drop all of us on our canyon runs and we are driving VERY quickly. No one says a word. What's the difference?

I don't get the hypocrisy here. Honestly.

Scott,

It' aint his skills that I'm questioning.

I'd say the same thing to him that I say to my wife, when I tell her to be careful out there in rush hour - it ain't you I'm worried about, it's the rest of the world that concerns me.

Sorry, I'm not personally going to clok triple digits on a road with that many driveways, fences, other traffic coming in the opposite direction et al. Each one of those is a potential problem that is magnified by the speed, tight quarters, and the variables of Uncle Joe backing out of the driveway, or 'ol Yeller deciding to trot across the road.

Never seen a video of a canyon run, so I cant compare it, just commenting on what I see.

Look closely again at the pair of antlers in the woods on the left about to enter the road on the second stretch at 95 mph, close call!

Wow I am with the majority on this. I like driving fast but there is a place and time. I am by no means a grandpa (still in my mid-30s). Although a nice video I just thought that was not a type of road you would want to be running 80-100mph with double solid lines, slow drivers and many driveways.....I would like you to make a video on the track with your buddy following behind. That would be cool.

Nor do I, Scott, but all of this is to be expected. Really.

The perspective of the film only gives one dimensional views with limited sight [/u]to the[/u] viewer.

I never did anything that was too outrageous and was in control the whole time.

All of the driveways in this stretch of country are all long and were in plain view. All passes were thought out and calculated with the most precision I could give.

All lines of sight were considered. I refused the final pass on the "Grandpa" in the last part of the first clip because the space to do it was never presented to me. Judgement call = Pass denied.

My faculties are all intact. My physical and psychological being is of sound mind. I have 20/10 in both of my eyes. I am a fully qualified operator with 32 years of driving tenure. I also have a CDL A TNX endorsement, MC rating w/ 30 years experience, Commercial Pilot w/ Instrument Rating since 1989. A pre-flight was performed, on both, motorcycle and car before the effort.

Hell, I have taken the same road on my Hayabusa at higher speeds. Believe me, it is a sleeper.

So you see, I could most likely drive, ride or fly right around most of your sorry asses, so save the verbal diatribe and let me hear from the ones that apprecate the effort... for God's sakes.

Bust on me if you want, I just have enough courage to at least post this and show 'how' it can be done to all the ones that WISH they had the balls to even think of doing it!

Lighten up on me, take an extra evening scoop of Metamucil, wave the old lady back into sewing room to stop the endless nagging and watch the videos again with passion instead of hatred.

Haters emerge out of every crevice. I can handle it.

I know there are different variables in all aspects of life. Millions of unknowns and unwanted situations. I am only human and realize that mistakes can happen. But, now after looking back on this reflection the question that pops up is, 'Do I wish I hadn't done it?' The answer is clearly, UNEQUIVOCALLY NO!

If I never did this again in my whole and wonderfully full life, I would rather have this to look back on and say "I DID THAT!" than to sit lonely and unchallenged in a life wondering IF or WHAT it would have been like to have done something like that.

To experience all that life offers is to have lived life to its fullest. To never have known is to die without the knowledge being full of life and experience. Sorry, I refuse to accept the latter.

UNLESS you are a mover and a shaker, don't blink because I am more than likely going to pass you given the first moment of opportunity. Take it how you want. This is certainly NOT about whether or not I care about your acceptance, because I couldn't care less.

If you don't like my honesty,,,, C'est la vie!!

Thanks to all that PM'd me and to those that enjoyed this statement above the flow of complacency.

Sorry Chris, that didn't help your cause

I just couldn't resist replying, your last post proves that you just don't get it!

I can ingnore your comments bout driving around our silly asses, and no one is arguing all of yoru qualifications as a driver.

It's your "to live life....... sttement that I have a problem with. The pint your missing is that it would be VERY easy for you to kill someone else with such foolish driving and attitude.

THAT's THE TRUTH

Sorry

Jeff

Awww, gimme a break guys!!

Locals on those 2 lane farm roads around here drive 70+ every day. These guys are doing 70-80 most of the time and only quickly dashing up to 100 here and there on some straight sections.

Safe as going 55? No... but who here does!

Everybody want's to be an "internet Dad" around here sometimes..
