door handles on the inside door panels
Does anyone know how to properly remove the door handles on an 87 carrera. Is it a matter of taking off the whole panel, or is it much more simple

No need to remove the whole panel IF you are just removing the door openers. There is a rod that attaches to the inner mechanism you can just pop that off. Then remove the "c"clip holding the handle on. It should come right off then.

Need to remove top plastic trim piece, then door pull. That will give access to c clips. Do search good excellence articl with step by step instructions. I forgot the date but it is in a previous post.
