Fuel pump question?

I swapped the 2.7 in my 76 911 for a 3.0 out of a 78. Do I need to change the fuel pump or can I use the 2.7 fuel pump?

73.5-77 required 1.7 liter per minute and the SC's ('78) on required 2 liters per minute. It may or may not work at high fuel demand rates (high power operation) depending on the condition of the '76 pump. There are non-Bosch aftermarket pumps that will work and that are significantly less expensive than the OEM pumps.

Jim (or anyone else),

Would you elaborate on the alternatives to OEM if you can?

(I haven't done a search yet)
